Before you hire a plumber

5 quick checks before you call.

  1. Check the license.

In Arizona, look them up with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC).

  2. Ask for proof of insurance.

Liability insurance covers damage to your home if something goes wrong.

  3. Get 2 or 3 written quotes.

Compare what each one includes, not just the price.

  4. Don't pay everything upfront.

A deposit is normal. Pay the rest when the work is done.

  5. Read the newest reviews.

Recent reviews say more about the business today than old ones.
